Culminating a month of celebration for the 12th Pastoral Anniversary of Bishop Lionel Harvey, a banquet took place at Verdi's of Westbury on Saturday March 19th. In his noted "labor of love" Bishop Harvey works consistent and tirelessly in the New Cassel community where his Church, First Baptist Cathedral of Westbury, is housed and many of its members reside. President of UNCCRC (United New Cassel Community Revitalization Corporation), Bishop Harvey has been a visible asset in major accomplishments in the hamlet of New Cassel. "The New Cassel community is very near and dear to my heart and we are all in this together. It is truly an honor to be recognized by the ToNH, but in this collaborative effort of revitalization each one of us play a vital role so I share this accolade with the community at large." says Harvey. Councilwoman Viviana Russell presented Bishop Harvey with a certificate from the TONH which was surrounded with pictures that demonstrated the notable achievements of the honoree throughout the years.
