From April 21st - 26th Councilwoman Russell spent the day at three schools through District 1 to celebrate Earth Day. She joined The Cherry Lane School in Carle Place, Park Avenue School and Drexel Avenue School in Westbury. The Elementary schoolers were in for a day of musical fun with a performance by Paul Helou, and some dancing and surprises. Because of their hard work and dedication to saving the earth, the students were given books and plants from the Town of North Hempstead.
