Nassau County 6th Annual Comptroller Entrepreneurial Challenge

                Nassau County’s 6th Annual Comptroller Entrepreneurial Challenge took place at Theodore Roosevelt….  The competition recognized scholastic teams for their innovation and efficiency in entrepreneurship. Over 100 students from more than a dozen schools competed to conceptualize and present a ten year plan for their original business or non-profit organization.

                District 1 schools, Westbury High School and Carle Place High School exemplified creativity and hard work in their presentations. Carle Place High School placed third in the Social Entrepreneurship Category for their sustainable and resourceful take on clothing with their brand “Ecowear.”

                Additionally, New Hyde Park Memorial High School and Paul D. Schreiber Senior High School of North Hempstead were awarded honorable mentions in the Social Entrepreneurship Category.  Congratulations to all of the teams for their amazing efforts and accomplishments!
