The Long Island Cross County Section of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) hosted their Black History Luncheon on Saturday February 5, 2011. This annual event took place at the Garden City Hotel and included an assortment of vendors including fashion attire, jewlerly and buisness services.
First paying homage to Dr. Dorothy Height, Chair and President Emerita, NCNW honored a group of exemplary individuals for their various achievements and note worthy aspirations. Councilwoman Viviana Russell was an invited guest to this event and presented these honorees with a certificate both congratulating them on there efforts to date and encouraging on the work they will produce in the near future.
