Westbury School District renamed administration building after Lawrence "Chip" Zaino

Lawrence F. Zaino, Sr., known to all as “Chip”, is a lifelong resident of Westbury, having graduated form the Westbury Union Free School District. Mr. Zaino, Sr. attended St. John’s University majoring in Accounting. During that period, he was drafted and served in World War II. Upon his return to civilian life, he finished his college education at St. John’s University with a degree in Accounting.
 
Mr. Zaino, Sr.  married and raised four children in Westbury and is now a grandfather of seven.
 
Mr. Zaino, Sr. has served as a Board Trustee for the Westbury Union Free School District with distinction and integrity, having been appointed and then elected eight times, covering 27 years, which included service as Board President.
 
In honor of the committment and contributions of Mr. Zaino, the Westbury School District renamed their administration building after Lawrence "Chip" Zaino at the ceremony that took place 1/11/2011.
