
Council Member Viviana Russell recently attended Espoir Youth Program Inc.’s Black History Month celebration on February 7 at the North Hempstead “Yes We Can” Community Center in Westbury. The theme of the event was “Write the Next Chapter” and it included performances by ISOP Band, Ms. Louise Calixte and members of the Espoir Youth Program. Council Member Russell presented a proclamation to the Honorable Andrea Phoenix for being the guest speaker at the event.
Espoir Youth Program, Inc. was founded in 2012 with the goal of improving and increasing educational opportunities available to children in the USA and less developed countries. They provide after school programs, youth counseling, and a STEM enrichment program and more.
